While this restaurant takes its name from the impressive chestnut tree that adorns its large, idyllic terrace, the most unique thing about this place is the pitch for playing boules nantaises that stands proudly in one of its two dining rooms! In a retro setting, Isabelle Hurtin and her daughters serve up real home-cooked, local cuisine, with a short menu that changes every week – a vegetarian, meat and seafood option are always on offer. Come evening, platters of appetisers to share make for a friendly vibe. On Saturdays, they serve a classic chicken and chips that takes you right back to childhood.
