In total 174 addresses in Nantes, greater Nantes and the out-laying vineyards are listed.
This guide reaffirms and showcases the identity of the cuisine in Nantes. This spirit is an expression of its past, its place and the people who made it. The spirit of Nantes is about open-mindness, blending, curiosity and travel… Since then the skill and know-how in agriculture has also developed and can guarantee quality and abundance while respecting the environment. The Loire-Atlantique has the biggest organic production area in the country.

By creating the ’Les Tables de Nantes’ gourmet guide, the ‘Voyage à Nantes’ in association with Interloire (promoting Loire wines) shines the limelight on local cuisine, produce, wines and chefs.

The jury
Partially renewed every year, the eyes of a culinary designer crosses those of a scientist, the gardener questions a gourmet « Maître Capello »! Twenty sharp mouths, analize and debate for months about the quality of a cooking or a seasoning, a courteous or disappointing welcoming, a sublime wine menu or failed agreements…
This joyful academy, sometimes stormy, always honest, seeks to visit all the establishments that wished to participate to “Les Tables de Nantes” by returning an application form in good timing. Procedure sometimes difficult to meet for some! Therefore, you may seem some addresses are missing…
The selection criteria
To develop the selection, the jury is based on an evaluation grid whose criterias are:
– Freshness, quality and origin of used products
– The culinary expertise, respect of products, proposals originality,
– The enhancement of Loire wines and especially wines from Nantes (Muscadet, Gros Plant, Coteaux d’Ancenis and Fiefs Vendéens)
– the welcoming quality, the decor and the atmosphere.
I Love Muscadet
Nantes winegrowers are talented and restaurateurs are proud to work with them and offer their wines to enhance their dishes. Les Tables de Nantes support this process of promoting local products, by highlighting the most fervent defenders of Muscadet thanks to the “I Love Muscadet” distinction.
The “I Love Muscadet” badge indicates the establishments in the selection which offer at least 5 Muscadets on their wine list. Signage to be found on the site, in the paper guide and affixed to restaurant windows.
