A rotisserie in a living room? The spirit of a bistro in an apartment? La Salle à Manger (“dining room”) is a bit of both. But, above all else, it’s an authentic, warm space run by the founder of “Chez l’huître.” The cuisine here is homelike, sincere, simple, and lovingly prepared. The prix-fixe menu changes daily, the ingredients are organic, local, and all of it served with grand cru wines. Pork ribs à l’orientale; navarin of lamb; rib steak; roast sausages, purée of carrots and basil.
