Just outside Nantes, the Champs d’Avaux offers up a contemporary atmosphere, a refined setting and a gastronomic voyage, all at the same time. The patio and sunny dining room, which opens onto the gardens, whets any cravings one might have for flavours from the sea and land: pressé de foie gras (layered foie gras parfait), game hen with crayfish, eel with mild garlic and herbs, crab rémoulade (mayonnaise-type sauce), courgette, ginger Granny Smith apples.
